This installation features brass paper fasteners pressed through A4 sheets of paper pulp. Typically used in place of staples—especially where rotation is needed—these fasteners vary in age and quality; some have oxidized to a black patina. The paper pulp sheets, sourced from the paper-making process but not part of the final product, form the work’s base. Exhibited in 2014 at the University of St Andrews, Scotland, the work remains in progress.
